Crass was one of the seminal Anarcho-Punk acts of the late 70s / early 80s. The English collective were unabashed supporgers of animal rights, feminism and early sects of environmentalism. They frequently played with different symbols of authority (christian crosses, swastikas and more) to subvert their original connotation. The band's music and politics made national headlines with their "thatchetgate tape" scandal, when they were confused for KGB propagandists.
